ASEAN's Bespoke AI Data Centre Digital Twin Solution (AI DC DT)

https://aidatacentre.org/

Founded in 1991, CADIT brings decades of engineering simulation and digital transformation experience to data centre operations.

Our approach connects operational monitoring with digital twin technology to help teams understand facility performance and evaluate improvements across compute, power and cooling.

The solution is deployed across ASEAN, including Singapore and Indonesia, delivering measurable improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reductions in Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).

Operational Visibility with i4 Centre by Cadit

CADIT’s data centre work includes an implementation for a leading provider in Singapore, combining rack and environmental monitoring, energy and water tracking, incident management and automated threshold alerts. These capabilities support timely corrective action and more coordinated asset management.

Tracking Energy and Water Efficiency

The implementation tracks Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), providing visibility into resource use. PUE compares total data centre energy consumption with IT equipment energy consumption, helping operators assess infrastructure overhead and track efficiency over time.

Combined with environmental and rack data, these metrics provide a basis for identifying improvement opportunities and assessing operational changes.

Thermal, Electromagnetic and CFD Simulation

Physics-based simulation adds engineering context to a digital twin. Thermal analysis evaluates component temperatures, while computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models airflow, coolant flow and heat transfer. Electromagnetic (EM) analysis can quantify electrical losses that contribute to heating.

Together, these methods help engineers investigate hotspots, assess cooling strategies and evaluate design changes before physical implementation.

NVIDIA Omniverse Integration

CADIT’s approach brings compute, power and cooling optimisation into an integrated NVIDIA Omniverse digital twin environment. Omniverse’s OpenUSD foundation supports the integration of 3D assets and engineering simulation data, helping teams visualise facility layouts and review simulation results in context.

Powered by ETAP, Ansys, ToffeeX, Windchill and BIM

Our toolset supports electrical system modelling with ETAP, thermal and electromagnetic simulation with Ansys, and cooling component optimisation with ToffeeX. Windchill manages engineering data and design changes, while Building Information Modelling (BIM) provides facility layouts and asset context. Together, these capabilities support informed decisions across data centre design, operation and improvement.
