Ansys Motion - Enterprise Multibody Dynamics Simulation Software

Ansys Motion is multibody dynamics software for mechanisms, drivetrains and vehicles. It analyses rigid and flexible bodies together in a single solver, so system motion, stress, vibration and fatigue are evaluated in one model rather than across separate tools.

Motion runs in the same interface as Ansys Mechanical, and one model can be reused for many purposes.

Drivetrain Toolkit: better planetary gear set handling and tolerance modelling across all gear sets.
Modal flex bodies: Suppress Deformation shows FE bodies as wireframe during animation to save resources.

Rigid and Flexible Bodies in One Solver

Rigid bodies connect through joints, bushings, contacts and user-defined expressions, with smooth surface-to-surface contact. FE dynamics brings flexible bodies into the same system, solved with a stable implicit integrator, and shared- and distributed-memory parallel processing speeds up large models.

Drivetrains, Gears, Chains and Tracked Vehicles

Toolkits cover gear trains and drivetrain noise and vibration, chains and belts, vehicles, and tracked vehicles through the Links modeller.
