Ansys EMC Plus - Platform-Level EMC and Cable Simulation Software
Ansys EMC Plus, formerly Ansys EMA3D Cable, is platform-level electromagnetic compatibility simulation software. It analyses lightning-induced effects on large platforms and cable EMI/EMC problems in aircraft, vehicles and other systems, supporting EMC certification from design through validation.
It is used in aerospace, automotive, defence, oil and gas, consumer electronics and energy, wherever cable harnesses must work alongside sensitive electronics.
Ansys EMC Plus 2026 R1
- Cable harness workflow: direct import of PCB EDB data, cable centreline extraction and an MHarness-based variable grid.
- GPU acceleration: the FDTD, FEM and PIC solvers run on GPUs, for larger system-level EMC analysis.

Lightning, HIRF and EMP Simulation
Lightning strikes, high-intensity radiated fields (HIRF) and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) coupling to equipment interfaces are simulated on the full platform, which can support lightning certification during development.
Cable Harness EMI, Crosstalk and Shielding
A hybrid FDTD and transmission-line solve handles cable harnesses with multilevel shielding, crosstalk between cables, shielding effectiveness and current return networks, with cable cross-sections computed electrostatically.
Radiated Emissions and Immunity
Radiated emissions from cables and components are computed anywhere in space, with automated coupling to HFSS for packages, PCBs and antennas, and radiated immunity tests can be reproduced in realistic platforms. Ansys SpaceClaim is included for geometry preparation.
