Ansys Forte - Enterprise Internal Combustion Engine Simulation Software
Ansys Forte is computational fluid dynamics software for internal combustion engines and positive displacement compressors. It incorporates Ansys Chemkin-Pro solver technology for validated gas-phase and surface chemistry, so ignition, combustion, emissions, fuel effects and soot are predicted with detailed chemistry.
Automatic mesh generation and streamlined workflows reduce hands-on time, leaving more of each project for design exploration.
Ansys Forte 2026 R1
- Beam bending FSI input (beta): enter a custom deflection-versus-load profile instead of a fixed elastic modulus for the built-in beam bending FSI model.
- Updated MPI: Intel MPI 2021.16.1 is now the default for Forte runs.

Detailed Chemistry, Multicomponent Fuels and Emissions
Multicomponent fuel models represent real fuels, and the Chemkin-Pro based chemistry solver predicts ignition, emissions and soot quickly enough for routine design work.
Automatic Meshing with Solution-Adaptive Refinement
Meshes are generated automatically from the engine geometry, and solution-adaptive refinement concentrates resolution at the flame front and spray, where accuracy matters most.
Positive Displacement Compressors and Pumps
Beyond engines, Forte models positive displacement compressors and pumps, with automated handling of flow leakage across small gaps.
