Ansys CFD
Ansys CFD - Enterprise Fluid Dynamics Simulation Software
Ansys CFD is the licence family behind Ansys Fluent and Ansys CFX: three plans, each sized to a different scope of fluid simulation. Choosing the plan is the key decision. Under-specify and you face a second purchase within a year; over-specify and you pay for capability you never use.
This page sets out what each plan is for, so our conversation can start from your models rather than a price list.
Ansys CFD 2026 R1
- Fluent GPU solver: volume of fluid (VOF) with energy and sliding mesh now run on GPU, for faster multiphase simulations such as mixing and rotating machinery.
- Combustion on GPU: chemistry acceleration delivers up to 2-3x faster solves for stiff reaction mechanisms.
- PyCFX: a new Python interface for automating and customising Ansys CFX.

Ansys CFD Enterprise
Every Ansys CFD solver, including Fluent, CFX, Polyflow, Forte, FENSAP-ICE and Chemkin-Pro, together with the Fluent GPU solver.
The choice when a team needs the full range of fluids solvers and specialist tools under one licence.
Ansys CFD Premium
The full Fluent and CFX solvers, for detailed turbulence, heat transfer, multiphase and rotating machinery work.
Built for experienced CFD engineers who need validated results across the full physics range.
Ansys CFD Pro
A cost-effective plan for common fluid flow and heat transfer problems.
Choosing a CFD Plan by Physics and Model Size
Start from the physics. Single-phase flow and heat transfer on moderate model sizes typically fits Pro. Multiphase flow, combustion, turbomachinery or very large meshes call for Premium or Enterprise. Where the physics fits but run times do not, additional HPC capacity is often more economical than a higher plan.
Common CFD Consultation Topics
- Pipe, duct and valve flow: pressure drop and flow distribution through piping and ductwork.
- Heat exchanger performance: heat transfer, temperature distribution and pressure drop.
- Smoke and gas dispersion: spread of smoke or released gas in plants, tunnels and buildings.
- Process vessels: mixing, residence time and separation in tanks and reactors.

Ansys CFD FAQ
What is the difference between Ansys CFD and Ansys Fluent?
Ansys CFD is the licence plan; Fluent and CFX are the solvers within it. When engineers say they use Ansys CFD, they usually mean Fluent.
Do you run CFD training in Singapore and Malaysia?
