Ansys Q3D Extractor
Ansys Q3D Extractor - Enterprise Parasitic Extraction Software
Ansys Q3D Extractor is parasitic extraction software. It calculates the frequency-dependent resistance, inductance, capacitance and conductance (RLCG) of electronic structures and generates equivalent SPICE models for circuit and signal integrity simulation.
It is used for advanced IC packages and connectors in high-speed equipment, touchscreens, and high-power busbars and converter components in power distribution, power electronics and electric drives.
Ansys Q3D Extractor 2026 R1
- AC-RL solver: faster transition-region solving and improved accuracy.
- Distributed-memory HPC: the AC-RL solver now runs on distributed-memory HPC for larger extractions.
- Q3D in 3D Layout (beta): a General mode for PCBs and packages, plus an electrothermal flow.

Ansys Electronics Pro 2D
2D low-frequency electromagnetic and electromechanical analysis, 2D parameter extraction, RF interference analysis and circuit simulation, including Maxwell 2D, RMxprt, PExprt and the 2D Extractor.
3D Quasi-Static Extraction with the Method of Moments
The 3D solver uses the method of moments, accelerated by the fast multipole method, and captures skin and proximity effects, dielectric and ohmic losses and frequency dependence, with automatic adaptive meshing to a user-specified accuracy.
2D Extractor for Cables and Transmission Lines
A 2D finite element solver gives per-unit-length RLCG for cables and transmission lines, characteristic impedance matrices, propagation delay, attenuation, differential and common-mode parameters, and near- and far-end crosstalk.
Common Parasitic Extraction Consultation Topics
- Busbar and inverter layout: stray inductance and current sharing.
- Package and connector models: RLCG models for signal integrity analysis.
- Cables and harnesses: impedance and crosstalk.
- Touchscreen sensors: capacitance extraction.
