Ansys Electronics Desktop AEDT
Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) - Enterprise Electronics Simulation Platform
Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT) is the platform for electronics system design simulation. It gives access to Ansys HFSS, Maxwell, Q3D Extractor, SIwave and Icepak in one environment, with electrical CAD (ECAD) and mechanical CAD (MCAD) workflows and direct links to the Ansys thermal, fluid and mechanical solvers for multiphysics analysis.
Tight integration between the solvers simplifies set-up and speeds up complex electromagnetic, thermal and circuit studies.
Ansys Electronics Desktop 2026 R1
- HFSS-PI: a new broadband 3D power integrity solver in HFSS 3D Layout, in both IC and General modes.
- GPU acceleration: the cuDSS GPU direct solver now handles HFSS frequency sweeps, with multi-GPU distribution in beta.
- Omega mesher: a robust, efficient initial mesher for flex and rigid-flex PCBs in HFSS 3D Layout.

Ansys Electronics Enterprise
The complete Ansys electronics portfolio in a single-user licence: every capability of Electronics Premium and Electronics Pro 2D, plus the advanced and coupled multiphysics tools, such as HFSS and Icepak electrothermal simulation.
Ansys Electronics Premium
Premium packages built around each flagship solver (Electronics Premium HFSS, Maxwell, Q3D Extractor, Icepak and SIwave), each with ECAD and MCAD modelling and translation, advanced circuit analysis and Electronics Pro 2D.
Ansys Electronics Pro 2D
2D low-frequency electromagnetic and electromechanical analysis, 2D parameter extraction, RF interference analysis and circuit simulation, including Maxwell 2D, RMxprt, PExprt and the 2D Extractor.
One Interface for Electromagnetic, Circuit and Thermal Simulation
High-frequency, low-frequency, parasitic extraction, signal and power integrity, and thermal analyses share one project, geometry and material set, so results pass between solvers without translation.
ECAD and MCAD Workflows
PCB and package layouts import through ECAD workflows, including HFSS 3D Layout, while mechanical CAD brings in enclosures, connectors and machines for full 3D analysis.
Common Electronics Simulation Consultation Topics
- Antennas and RF: antenna, filter and connector performance.
- Electric machines: motor and transformer performance and losses.
- PCB signal and power integrity: high-speed channels and power delivery.
- Electronics thermal management: component and board temperatures.
